Keirsten's Visit to the Guyer Ranch

Today I am taking my daughter Keirsten to my friend Justin's house.  I call it the Guyer Ranch.  He has hundreds of different animals that Keirsten will be able to learn about as well as handle.  She is really looking forward to the visit and I will be sure and take photos and post them for you all to see.  I am glad she is learning about the animals at a young age, this way she will not fear them when she gets older.

Our Social Networks

I have been working with these social networks for years now and they are getting awful!  Spam seems to be everywhere these days and you can't even tell if a friend your adding is a bot or a real person anymore.  That is pretty sad and we all need to buckle down and be careful of who we add.  Virus's and hack attempts are everywhere now and on the rise.

Winter Blowing In!

It has been quite awhile since I have sat down with my blog.  I have been very busy the past week and I hope things get under control soon!  The family is doing great and this time of year that is a blessing for us all.  I do have a very close friend that got some bad news this season about his little daughter so if you could go to my facebook at www.facebook.com/hauntedvoicesradio , and read the post, it would be appreciated.  HVRN is really taking off and by the end of 2010 who knows where it will be.  I am very pleased with the new changes as well as the staff adjusting to them like that have.  It really shows just how loyal they are as well as how successful they want HVRN to be.  I am very proud of all of them and will take them anywhere that I may go.

Winter is upon us and is blowing in like crazy today!  We have winds in excess of 50mph and old man winter is not to happy this year.  It is snowing again today but nothing really sticking as of yet but it would be awesome to finally have a white Christmas again.  The kids would just love that this year!  I will try to get in here more often to keep everyone up to date, but today I am going to enjoy my day off with the family.

Plan B Radio Sucess!

Today was a really good day but got a slow start.  My daughters went to the dentist today and I wasn't there with them as usual (I really hate that).  Keirsten got a few teeth pulled but is doing great.  Kaycee has to get her wisdom teeth taken out but we all go through that in life and she will pull through just fine.  Kris and I really didn't see each other very much the past few days but will make up for that this weekend.  There has been so much going on lately and I really hate the long hours I am having to put in at the studio  but it will all benefit

July 2007 Car Accident the TRUE story

Being in the Radio (Media) field, I have a lot of people out there that will take personal situations in my life and completely twist them around to make me look bad.  It is just like the tabloids and sadly it will not get any better any time soon.  There are a lot of jealous competitors out there that would love to take me out of my career in talk radio.  I have had a lot of things floating around the internet as well as social networks about me that I will clear up in this entry.  I have nothing to hide and am not ashamed of anything that I have gone through in life as it all happens for a reason.  I will be creating several blog entries aboet these rumors and tell all of you the TRUE story behind it.  First I will get started with the accident in 2007 that just about took my life.  I will also be going back several years to explain what ended my career in Criminal Justice (Corrections Officer).  Some of what you will read her will simply blow you away while other parts may just upset you, none the less, it must all be addressed so you all understand and know the truth behind it.  Please continue reading...

Family Weekend

Thanksgiving is now over and it was a pretty good one this year.  Had some great food and good time catching up with everyone.  I left a bit early due to my tooth killing me (really puts me in a bad mood) but other than that, all worked out good.  Kris brought home some leftovers and well be eating them for a month!  She also made her first homemade apple pie and it was GREAT!  I am eating that thing all by myself.  Way to go Kris!

Thanksgiving Eve

Today just started out bad!  Got up this morning and the phone, internet, and cable were all out.  I guess there was a main fiber optic line cut to hat covered the entire county.  It took them 9 hours to fix.  It was actually good that it went out because it makes you realize just how much we all depend on modern things like that.  When it was out Kris, Keirsten and I actually spent some REALLY good time together.  We talked for quite a bit and then Keirsten and I played one of my favorite games in the world, "The Legend of Zelda" the old classic Nintendo version.  It was great to see Keirsten get into the game as that is what I grew up on and was the first realm video game systems that I had.

Busy Day

I am glad I got an early start today because it was really busy!  I did a lot of work from here at home but finally got to the studio.  Lot's of phone calls and emails today but all good and nothing negative at all.  That is quite a shock for a Monday.  The show tonight went really good with Phil and the interaction from the listeners was really good tonight as well.  Finally came to the conclusion that it was an internet issue with the choppy skype calls tonight so I wrote a note to Rick to see if we could increase the internet package.  I hope he will get that done or it will not only affect our shows but his new one as well.

Back to the grind today!

The weekend went by WAY to fast!  I had a great time with Kris and Keirsten over the weekend.  We watched a couple of movies and Kris and I finished the yard work.  All of our leaves are done and burned and I did a final mowing of the lawn.  I also fixed the shed roof without falling off!  Monday is going to be a busy one with the show tonight and catching up on some things due to the short work week.

Yard Work Saturday

Today was great!  I got to sleep in a bit and I am feeling much better than yesterday.  I had to cut the night short due to some Chrons stuff, but other than that it went well.  Today I woke up a bit with some coffee and got dressed to do some yard work with Kris.  Here and I attacked the rest of the leaves in the yard and burned the hell out of them.  After, I wanted to give the yard a final mowing so there was less to do this spring.  It was really nice outside today, not to cold, not to hot just right.  Kris ran the leave blower for a bit while I racked a few in the pile.  I can't stand the smell of the dam things burning.  Makes you want to hack.  We got it all cleaned up and mowed and came inside so I could cook a nice warm dinner.  Dinner served and really hit the spot!

My Day Off

Today I decided to take the day from radio land. I used this time to spend with my family and catch up on some things on the back burner. I woke up very early this morning to help Kris take our 3 dogs to the groomers to get their hair cuts. They were REALLY bad and in need of a good shave. One of them was so bad it even had some hair wrapped around it's teeth! LOL sorry that was just wrong but to dam funny. So we get them home and Kris and I decided to take a couple hour nap to catch up on some needed rest. We get up and Kris goes to grab the kids from school and run a few errands. The munchkin comes home with some turkeys they made in school using their hands and decided to make a few more here. My oldest went to a ballgame with her friends and then skipped to a midnight showing of the new Twilight movie that came out.

Kris and I stayed home with the little one and it was homework time for her. Kris helped her with her homework and I cooked some dinner. Fried Chicken that wasn't the best in the world but edible. After dinner everyone did their own thing for a bit and then it was time for Keirsten to get to bed. She was asleep and Kris and I decided to watch a movie. I let her pick the film and tonight it was "All about Steve". It was a pretty funny movie but I have seen better. The ending was pretty cool and we decided to watch another. We had our stacks of goodies and Kris picked the Night at the museum 2 movie. She fell asleep during half of it and it was time to tuck her into bed next. She was beat and ready for some good rest. I finished watching the movie and dam that was funny!

Very Good Day (First Entry)

Today was a really great and productive day! I got a late start on getting to the studio but made it there just in time. I really missed Kris and the kids today as they had to go to Terre Haute for the exciting dentist appointment! Keirsten (Daddy's Munckin) will end up having to have 2 teeth pulled, but they are just baby teeth and will grow back with no problems. She has such a pretty smile when she is happy. My oldest, Kaycee had her teeth cleaned and they found some cement left from her braces! Yuck! She was in a pretty grumpy mood today but that is your typical teenager for ya. My beautiful wife Kris is straight from heaven as she keeps us all in line each day and makes sure we all are where we are suppose to be.

Kris was in a really good mood today but we didn't see much of each other at all today. I will do a separate blog on her and I soon! She had such a busy day with driving and had to go to the Channel 10 news station this morning to get my suite case I left in Kevin's car. This was during the Ashmore Experiment I did with Kevin Orpurt our local meteorologist. Kris's get's home and its off to the radio studio for me, I am a talk radio host by trade and own the Haunted Voices Radio Network www.hvrnc.com .
